EK Dental

Practice Statement 20th June 2020.

Following the announcement from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon ( 18/6/20) that we are now moving to phase 2,  we will now be able to offer a limited emergency service at the practice from Monday 22nd June.

The practice will be open to provide emergency and urgent care only. Attendance is STRICTLY by a pre arranged appointment.

The emergency and urgent care  treatment options in the practice will include temporary fillings, extractions etc. We remain unable to provide any treatment that generates a fine water mist, known as an aerosol generating procedure( AGP), such as scalings, fillings, root treatments, crowns etc.

For patients who do require treatment involving an AGP , we will refer them on to be seen at an Urgent Care Hub, as appropriate.

In the first instance please contact us on 01355 235560 for advice. If offered an appointment  we ask that you attend the appointment alone( with the exception of child patients and carers).

It is important to attend at the appointed time, no more than 5 minutes earlier than that time. This is to minimise the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.

We ask that you bring only essential personal belongings with you. Please be aware that there will no toilet facilities available at this time.

We are re opening under government issued restrictions as to how many patients , and how many surgeries we can work from. These restrictions are to ensure the practice is a safe environment for both patients and staff. Unfortunately they also mean that we will be unable to offer appointments with a specific dentist, or on a specific day or time.We are opening only 1 surgery at this time instead of our usual 4, with longer appointment times to allow for comprehensive decontamination and patient spacing.

The team at EK Dental are grateful for your continued patience during these times. We are here if you need us! Please contact us from Monday 22/6/20 on 01355 235560 for further advice.

If you require advice or assistance outwith these times please call NHS 24 on 111.

Please follow our Facebook page for further updates.

Please keep safe and well.
